Well, this was a job and half!

These clients have been trying to get planning on their land for the last 10 years and it just never happened. I got involved around 18 months ago and am pleased to report that we received full planning approval today which is a right result!

The land is part of an old farmyard and sits adjacent to the River Cam and therefore within flood plain where development is normally resisted. It is also within a designated Conservation Area and within the curtilage of a Grade II listed house, hence the reason it has been so difficult. The approval is for 2 detached houses with shared garage block and i designed the houses to maximise the views to the river and natural solar gain.

After working closely with the clients and the local authority we are really pleased to have got this one passed…
