As recently blogged, we were hoping to get this cool little barn passed through planning and at last, we did on Wednesday last week.

This one has been a tough one as the plot sits within the rear garden of a Grade II listed house and adjacent to a Grade I Listed 15th century church so you can well imagine.

We got the planning based on sensitivity of the design and its potential impact on its neighbours and also specified some environmental benefits such as ground source heating, potential reclaimed materials externally and also the whole house is going to be timber frame which of course is a very sustainable method of building…

Good news though and we are well pleased for our clients…
