Most of the sites we get to design for are rural so it was a nice challenge back in April of this year to see if we could design something to fit into this fairly tight site in the middle of a Buckinghamshire town.
It is a replacement dwelling project regarded as infill between a long streetscape of detached dwellings with plot width being only about 13.5 metres. Design influences came from the mix of styles found within the area but it is the clients intentions to build something contemporary. This would include the use of modern brick type, powder coated joinery and also potentially powder coated aluminum cladding rather than timber.
Planning was approved last Friday for this young couple who had their first baby earlier in the year and we are confident they will make a great job of it.
